OCTOBER 2018, POLLAK LIBRARY

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY FULLERTON

This exhibition features art work about breast cancer created by CSUF faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the local community. Please join us in exploring the personal, political, social and medical issues related to breast cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, "Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. Currently, the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 12%. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance she will develop breast cancer. This also means there is a 7 in 8 chance she will never have the disease." This exhibition explores what it means to prevent and treat, educate about, survive and thrive with breast cancer.
