Who Are the Monster Makers?

In 2018, our Indiegogo Campaign raised over $8000 to publish and distribute The Little Green Monster: Cancer Magic!, to over 1000 families impacted by cancer at treatment centers, support groups, libraries, schools and community organizations. And, we are still donating! Spanish translation coming in Fall 2019.
Sharon Chappell is the author of The Little Green Monster: Cancer Magic! She is being treated for breast cancer by Kaiser Permanente Orange County. Sharon’s first experience with cancer was her father’s non-Hodgkin lymphoma when she was seven. This cancer led to her father’s chronic illnesses throughout Sharon's life until his death from brain cancer in 2017. Sharon was diagnosed with breast cancer three days prior to his passing. The need for healing, rich literature to share with her passionate eleven year old daughter inspired the Little Green Monster book and Little Monster Love stuffs.

Jackie Gorman is the illustrator of The Little Green Monster. She is a digital arts major at Chapman University with a minor in game development. She was born in Auckland, New Zealand and raised on Maui, Hawai`i. She is proud of her Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Hawaiian, German, and Irish heritage. Her ultimate career goal is to open an animation studio on Maui and share fascinating stories of Polynesia through animated films.
Beth Weeks is the graphic designer for The Little Green Monster. She is blessed with a wonderful family; they reside in beautiful San Diego, California, where she is a University instructor of typography and consults as a graphic designer. She is honored to be a part of the Little Green Monster Project and supporting the efforts of her beautifully talented niece, Sharon—who brings love, encouragement and strength to all she touches.
Our Wonderful Partners who support the Little Green Monster Project: Kaiser Permanente Anaheim, St. Jude Medical Fullerton, Susan G. Komen Orange County, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kids Konnected, Camp Kesem, Acting Up Against Cancer, and the Social Justice Sewing Academy.
